Apollonizta University was founded by the Becca approximately ten years after she was appointed the position, and is named in honor of the ancient Greek god Apollon. Apollon is the god of the sciences and of the Muses: Clio (history), Euterpe (music), Thalia (pastoral poetry and comedy), Melpomene (tragedy), Terpsichore (dancing), Erato (lyric poetry), Polyhymnia (singing and rhetoric), Calliope (heroic poetry) and Urania (astronomy). It seemed apt to Becca Kyena to name the first T'nizt first university devoted to the arts and history after a god whose attributes fit the purpose in which it was founded. |
